Structured thinking for product teams moving forward
Riverlith works with small product teams at the moment before building begins — framing the initiative, reviewing the roadmap, or simply providing a reliable outside ear for a lead who needs one.
Three ways to work together
Each engagement is scoped to a specific need. There are no retainers that grow indefinitely — only defined arrangements with clear outputs.
Product Discovery Sprint
A two-week sprint to help a small product team frame a new initiative before they begin building. Includes structured stakeholder interviews, a written summary of the assumptions the team is making, and a short discovery plan the team can carry forward themselves.
- Stakeholder interview framework
- Written assumptions summary
- Month-long discovery plan
Product Roadmap Review
A three-week structured review of an existing product roadmap — examining the balance between commitments, opportunistic items, and longer-bet investments. Includes a written assessment, alternative sequencing options, and a note on where the roadmap currently lacks clarity.
- Written roadmap assessment
- Alternative sequencing options
- Clarity gap analysis
Product Lead Sounding-Board
A monthly arrangement for product leads who want regular outside reflection time. Includes two private one-hour calls per month, written notes after each call, and discreet review of internal documents the lead chooses to share ahead of each session.
- Two private calls monthly
- Written notes per session
- Discreet document review
What makes the difference
Written outputs, always
Every engagement produces a document the team can act on independently. Nothing is left at the level of conversation.
Defined scope and time
Engagements have a known duration and clear deliverables. No open-ended arrangements that drift.
One point of contact
You work directly with the consultant throughout. No handoffs, no account managers relaying messages.
Discretion as standard
Internal documents and conversations remain private. Riverlith does not reference client work in public materials.
Outside perspective
An external view surfaces assumptions the team has stopped seeing. That distance is the primary value, not methodology.
Transparent, flat pricing
Prices are listed before any conversation. No estimation process, no hidden fees, no variable billing.
Ready to think more clearly about your product?
A short conversation is usually enough to identify which engagement fits your current situation. There is no obligation.

Frequently asked
Who are these engagements suited to?
Riverlith works primarily with small product teams — typically between two and ten people — who are navigating a specific decision point. This might be framing a new feature initiative, pressure-testing a roadmap before a planning cycle, or a product lead who wants a private space to think things through without involving their own organisation.
How does a Discovery Sprint actually work?
We begin with a short kick-off call to understand the initiative. Riverlith then conducts structured interviews with the stakeholders you identify — typically three to five people — and synthesises findings into a written summary of the assumptions your team is currently making. You receive a short discovery plan your team can execute over the following month, without further dependency on Riverlith.
What does a Roadmap Review cover?
We review your existing roadmap — however it is currently documented — looking at how it balances near-term commitments, opportunistic additions, and longer-horizon investments. The written assessment identifies where the balance seems off, where the reasoning is unclear, and offers two or three alternative ways to sequence the work. The note on clarity gaps is often the most useful part for teams.
Is the Sounding-Board arrangement confidential?
Yes. The arrangement is private by design. Documents you share are reviewed solely for the purpose of the call and are not retained beyond the engagement. Riverlith does not reference client relationships in case studies, social media, or other public communications.
What is the process for starting an engagement?
Send a brief message through the contact form or by email describing your situation in a few sentences. Riverlith will respond within two working days. If there is a good fit, we will arrange a short call — typically 30 minutes — to clarify scope before proceeding. There is no sales process.
Do you work with companies outside Singapore?
Riverlith is based in Singapore and works primarily with teams in the Asia-Pacific region. Remote engagements are possible for teams in compatible time zones. If you are based elsewhere, mention this in your initial message and we can discuss whether it is workable.
